Hyundai Mobis Uses FDM to Improve Component Fit & Finish

In its quest for “Best in Class” and “Global Top 10 Supplier,” Hyundai relies on a FDM (fuel deposition modeling) system to examine minute design details of components such as instrument panels, air ducts, gear-frame bodies, front-end modules, and stabilizer-bar assemblies. In this case, the FDM system identified 27 design flaws in the cockpit mock-up, ultimately reducing costs and time-to-market for Hyundai.
